This field of research focuses on two major connected themes spatial data infrastructures and geosensor networks.
Spatial data infrastructure includes research into the theory, development and assessment of the spatial data infrastructures. We contribute with our research to a better understanding of this emerging phenomena.
Geosensor networks includes research into concepts, methods and technologies for real-time sensing of geographical phenomena. The integration of in-situ and remote sensors and the (potential) application in the agro-environmental domain are focal points of this theme.
