We are very pleased to invite you for the one day seminar on "Remote Sensing of the Environment". The seminar is jointly organized by the Environmental Sciences Group (ESG) of Wageningen University and Research Centre (WUR), the Centre for Geo-Information (CGI) of WUR,  C.T. de Wit Graduate School PE&RC, as well as the ISPRS Commission VII, Working Group I on Physical Modeling.

The one day seminar consists of prominent remote sensing experts from all over the world, focusing on the primary knowledge domains of the Environmental Sciences Group, namely on ecosystems, soil, water and climate, landscapes and geo-information respectively.

The seminar is organized for the farewell of Michael Schaepman, who will be leaving Wageningen University and Research Centre for a new position in Switzerland as of March 2009. Michael Schaepman has been appointed full chair at the Remote Sensing Laboratories (RSL), Dept. of Geography of the University of Zurich (CH). Michael Schaepman will remain adjoint professor in Geo-Information and Remote Sensing for five more years in Wageningen.

The Remote Sensing of the Environment seminar is primarily open to all interested parties in remote sensing of land surface processes. Please note that the seminar is limited to 100 participants. Therefore, registration does not guarantee a place until you receive confirmation of your participation.

Seminar Fee
There is no seminar fee. However, late cancellations will be charged EUR 40 past December 20, 2008.
