Seminar on Current Developments of Spectroscopy in Soil Science
Wednesday September 30, 2009, Wageningen UR, The Netherlands
Location: GAIA building, Droevendaalsesteeg 3 (Building 101), Room Gaia 1
Soils are increasingly recognized as major contributors to ecosystem services. However, detailed information on the spatial and temporal distribution of soil properties is often limited available. Recent developments in the field of reflectance spectroscopy have shown its potential for the quantitative characterization of soil properties.
In this seminar the application of soil spectroscopy at a range of scale levels will be presented both going from the local to the global spatial level but also from laboratory to field and image based techniques.
The seminar precedes the PhD thesis defense of Harm Bartholomeus. You are also invited to attend the public defense of his thesis.
