Philip Paar (Berlin) and Jörg Rekittke (WUR-LAR) will present the Lenné3D-System for landscape vizualisation, which is GIS-based and provides the currently leading technology for interactive realtime 3D-landscape visualizations and botanical correct 3D-vegetation models.
Lenné3D is an offshoot from the Leibniz-Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research, Zuse Institute Berlin, Hasso Plattner Institute Potsdam and the University of Konstanz. From 2002-2005, the research project of the same name on computer graphics assisted participatory landscape planning was funded by the German Federal Environmental Foundation (DBU) with 1.5 million Euros.
