Unit: Laboratory of Geo-Information Science and Remote Sensing

During the Final Conference, we will celebrate the results of the European Interreg IIIC co-financed project ‘Participatory Spatial Planning in Europe (PSPE)’ in which 11 partners from 5 EU countries participate. The conference presents in an interactive way the geo-visualisation tools and techniques and lessons learned during the project. Central subjects in the conference are new media, web 2.0, spatial planning and participatory approaches for citizen involvement. Five European case studies will be presented and commented upon by an interdisciplinary expert panel consisting of social scientists, politicians, new media experts and experts on innovations in public organisations. Furthermore, keynote speeches are given and an interactive geo-tools exhibition is part of the conference.

The conference is meant for those professionally involved or interested in either spatial planning, citizen involvement in public policy or the use of Geo-ICT. Participation is free of charge and includes lunch and dinner. Registration can be done at www.pspe.net until April 16.

In the attachment you will find the official invitation for the conference.
