The course New views in participatory spatial planning - Geo-visualisations: Technical possibilities and practical applications will be organised from 8 - 9 April 2009.
Spatial planning and geo-ICT have a long and intense relationship. In particular, the use of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) has strongly influenced the concept of spatial planning and its working methods.
This course explores the potential for using innovative geo-visualisation technologies in public participation processes for spatial planning. Special attention is paid to the interactions between concept development, the broad and increasing range of technical possibilities, and their practical application in spatial planning decision-making.
