Visualising, analysing and solving real world problems by means of geographic data and geo-ict means. That is in short what professionals in the geo-information workfield do. Good news for you, there's a rich future waiting for you.
The Geo Youth Capital program, part of the GSDI 11th World Conference, will take place at the 19th of June in Rotterdam, The Netherlands and addresses both highschool and MBO students as well as bachelor and master student.
Both groups of students can visit the geo market and the GSDI exhibition where they can meet (vocational) educators and future employers.
Furthermore, you can participate in the 'Share Your Virtual Earth Contest' prior to the GYC. Microsoft NL and the VU organize this contest to show that beyond a simple map, Virtual Earth can be used to share information that is relevant for a particular place: geographical information.
